Bart Players qualified for the Association of Ulster Drama Festivals Finals

The Award Wining Bart Players have again qualified for the Association of Ulster Drama Festivals Finals

Yes they are there! After eleven different drama festivals in Ulster during March, the 32 entries have been adjudicated and whittled down to six teams. All the successful teams have won at least one festival outright  The standard as usual is very high and each of the plays will be worthwhile attending.

The running order for The Finals at The Theatre in The Mill, Newtownabbey, 19th – 24th April:

Mon. 19th       Lifford Players, ‘Philadelphia Here I Come’

Tue.  20th      Theatre 3, Three Tall Women

Wed. 21st      Clarence Players, ‘Dancing At Lughnasa’

Thur.  22nd      Dundalk Theatre Workshop, ‘Copenhagen’

Fri.   23rd BART PLAYERS, ‘Drama At Inish’

Sat.  24th      The Silken Thomas Players, ‘The History Boys’

If you didn’t get the chance to see the Bart Players performance of Lennox Robinson’s light comedy ‘Drama At Inish’ maybe 23rd April is your opportunity. If you’ve already seen it, The Silken Thomas’s (recent winners of AUDF Finals) production ‘The History Boys’ by Alan Bennet which was such a recent West End success is getting rave reviews and the other shows will all be of high quality.

Theatre at The Mill at Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey is a brand new state-of-the-art theatre and should be an enjoyable experience for both Drama groups and audiences alike.
